License Issued, for the Marriage of James Moreland and Nancy J. Cochrane on the testimony of Charles A. Dibble as to their compentent age and condition, said license being in the words and figures, to-wit:

Office of County Judge, State of Iowa, Van Buren County, SS:

License is hereby granted, To any person authorized to solemnize Marriages, according to the laws of said State, to join in marriage Mr. James Moreland and Miss Nancy J. Cochrane of the County aforesaid; ...In Testimony Whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed the Seal of said Court, at my office in Keosauqua in said County, this 26th day of Feby. A.D. 1867, H. Strickling, Judge of said County.

CERTIFICATE of MARRIAGE:
TO the County Court of Van Buren County:
This Certifies, That on the 27th day of February A.D. 1867 at Farmington in said County, according to law, and by authority, I duly joined in Marriage Mr. James Moreland and Nancy J. Cochrane.

Given under my hand, the 28th day of February A.D. 1867 W. H. Furton (sp?) Minister of the Gospel and of the Law also.

Returned and filed on the 28th day of Feby A.D. 1867.
