At Keosauqua, Iowa Jan 19, 1882 Rev. A. McClintock officiating, Mr. Wm. H. Peterson of Northville, Dakota, and Mrs. Mary M. Johnston of Keosauqua.
Mr. Peterson returned from Dakota last week. He was a former resident of this county and is well and favorably known here. The bride is the widow of the late Russell Johnston, who held the offices of county clerk and recorder for eight years, and was one of the most efficient and popular officers the county ever had. She is one of our most estimable ladies, and there will be many sincere regrets that she is to leave Keosauqua, it being her intention to depart with her husband for Dakota in about six weeks. The DEMOCRAT wishes them a prosperous and happy journey through life.
