MARRIED

At the residence of E. S. Cresswell, Cromwell, Iowa, Dec. 17, 1884, by Rev. Conrod of the M.E. Church, Mr. Abbott Brady and Miss Lina Cresswell, both of Harrisburg Tp. Van Buren Co., Iowa.

Again the wedding bells ring out a joyous peal as another couple uniting hands and hearts start out on life's journey together.

Both bride and goom are well known in Harrisburg and vicinity where their many estimable qualities have made them hosts of friends, all of whom join in wishing them a happy and prosperous future. The bridal party reached Harrisburg Thursday evening where a reception was given them by Mrs. Brady, mother of the groom, which was well attended in spite of the extreme severity of the weather.

After the congratulations were over, supper was announced and all repaired to the dining room where a bountiful repast had been prepared, the table being loaded with the good things of life.

After supper the company spent the remainder of the evening in various amusements which were kept up until the hands of the clock pointing to the wee long hour warned them that it was time to disperse, which they did feeling that they had spent a most pleasant and enjoyable evening.

Quite a number of valuable presents were made the couple, which we have not room to particularize. Topsy
