Married.
WELCH-KENNEDY.

At the residence of William Dinsmore at Big Mound, Iowa, Wednesday, May 23, 1894, Rev. James Welch and Miss Joanna Kennedy, were united in bonds of holy wedlock, Rev. Read of the Presbyterian church officiating.

The ceremony was witnessed by only a few of the intimate friends and relatives of the contracting parties.

The bride is an educated, accomplished lady, and has been employed in our city schools, as instructor, for a number of years. She will be greatly missed from the society of the single, but she adds another bright light to the coterie of the married. Rev. Welch, the happy groom, is well know in Bonaparte and Van Buren county, having for a number of years been pastor of the Presbyterian church here.

The happy couple departed yesterday for Colby, Kansas, where they will make their future home, the groom being elected to fill the pulpit in the Presbyterian church in that city.
