Green – Whitacre
The marriage of Miss Helen R. Green Daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred F. Green, of this city, to Mr. Olen Whitacre, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Whitacre, of Lancaster, MO., was solemnized Thursday, 24 November at 430 p.m. at the Christian Parsonage in Corydon, Iowa. Rev. J. Newton Sours officiating. The ring ceremony was used. They were attended by Miss Ethel Wood and Earl Van Dorn, of Seymour.
Mrs. Whitacre is one of the community’s highly esteemed young ladies and graduated from Seymour High School in the Class of 1925. Since that time she has been a successful teacher at Pine School Northwest of this city. She has always taken an active part in Church work, and at present time has a class of young girls.
The groom is an industrious young man of high ideals. He was formerly salesman for the Norris Motor Co., of this city, but at the present time is employed in Moline IL.
The marriage was quite a surprise to their many friends.

John Freil and family, of Cincinnati, visited the first of the week the guest of their daughter, Mrs. Fred Green, on Main street.
