RECALLING THE PAST - Keosauqua's George Sommerville, 93, who has an amazing memory about past events and places in his hometown, enjoys looking over the guest register for an old hotel, Sommerville House, operated by his grandfather. The register has been donated to the Van Buren County Historical Society by William Kerr, formerly of Bonaparte. This article appeared in the Keosauqua Democrat in February of 1975.
