MR. CLAYTON D. SHEROD AND MISS ELLA MADELINE (MADGE) SHORT
Wednesday evening Aug. 19, 1908, at 8 o’clock, the ceremony being at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. B. O. Short, parents of the bride, at Kilbourne, Iowa, their daughter Miss Ella Madeline was united in marriage with Mr. Clayton D. Sherod, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Sherod, of near Mr. Zion. The officiating minister was Rev. C. S. McElheinny of Fairfield. The happy event was witnessed by a large company of relatives and immediate friends. The couple are very highly respected young people, born in the county, and commence their married life with the cordial good will of a host of friends. The reception will be at the residence of the groom’s parents Thursday evening, August 20, commencing at 8 o’clock. The Republican extends congratulations.
