The little town of Farmington in Van Buren county is excited over the elopement of Miss Edna Masters and Thomas Pettifer. Miss Masters’ parents are wealthy and she is a beautiful and well educated girl. It is the report that Pettifer has a wife and child somewhere in Illinois. He is an all round sport and the man who figured W.E. Bowman of Farmington out of a big sum of money at the foot-race at Fairfield last fall.
