The 1890 Portrait and Biographical Album of Jefferson and Van Buren Counties, Iowa bio on Levi
Anderson contains a very significant error in that it states that Stoddard Moore Anderson served in the Revolutionary War. This is false. Stoddard was born in 1765 and in addition did not immigrate to the states until 1804 when he left Ireland with a price on his head for his participation in the rebellion against England. It was his wife's father, Andrew Johnson, who was the Revolutionary War soldier.
