Robert Raven GRAVENOR, baptized 04 Feb. 1823 at Everton Notts, UK. He immigrated in 1869 to Clinton IA with six children by his fist marriage (Anna; Ellen; Fannie; Alice; Robert; Kitty & one child (Ada) by his second marriage to Sarah nee Willson.

Ten years later, Robert, Sarah & two of their children, Robert Jr. & Ada GRAVENOR, moved to Farmington Twp., Farmington, Van Buren Co., where they farmed.

Robert Jr. & Dora MILFORD married 28 Oct. 1882, in Vernon & A. LONG served as their witness. Robert Jr. and Dora moved to Putnam Co., MO by 1884 where they started their family of five: Carrie, Elvin & Icel, Mary & Irene GRAVENOR.

At some point, Robert GRAVENOR Sr. & Sarah had moved to Bonner Srpings KS where Sarah died 11 Jan. 1891 and is buried. Robert Sr. d. 22 Feb. 1894 and is buried in Mendota Cemetery, Putnam Co., MO., where son Robert Jr. & family resided.

Robert GRAVENOR Jr. moved his family to Cincinnati IA by 1910, where he worked as a coal miner. Dora Milford died at a young age in 1912 (49 yrs). Robert Jr. d. 03 Mar. 1925 and they are buried beside each other at Pleasant Hill Cememtery, Cincinnati IA.

Rumor has it, Ada GRAVENOR married Will Bowie of Scotland.
