Reuben Hunter - Born in Vermont in 1809. Two years later moved with parents to Morgan Co., OH and in 1829 married Miss Sarah Reed. To Iowa in 1854 and settled Village Twp. Later to Libertyville, Jefferson Co. About 12 years ago went to live with daughter, Mrs. W. H. Sullivan at Libertyville where they celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary February, 1899, and in February 1902 their 73rd wedding anniversary. Three months later Mrs. Hunter died, leaving her husband with whom she lived for 73 1 /4 years. Mr. Hunter at age 96 still living in good health in Birmingham, IA.
