Debbie Gordon, 71, of Creston, died Tuesday, December 28, 2021, at her home. Celebration of Life Services will be 1:30 p.m., Monday, January 3, 2022, at Powers Funeral Home in Creston. Her nephew Clint Hudson and Rev. Rick Titus will officiate. Services will be livestreamed at powersfh.com (link under events). Burial will be private at Hopkins Cemetery in rural Hopkins, Mo. Open visitation, with family receiving friends will be 12:30-1:30 p.m. Monday. Memorials are to the American Cancer Society or Creston Cancer Support Ministry.

Debera Dee Gordon was born December 6, 1950, in Greenfield, Ia., a daughter to Everett Dale Weed and Ruth LaVone (Wilson) Weed. Debbie grew up in Creston and attended high school with the class of 1969.

On May 2, 1980, Debbie was united in marriage to Ronald E. Gordon in Macksburg, Ia. Debbie worked at Wellman’s from 1973 until her retirement in 2007. She worked as an inspector and was a core maker during her time at Wellman’s.

Debbie is survived by her husband Ron of Creston; son, Shawn Gordon (significant other Vicky Romo) of Kingman, Az.; two daughters, Jennifer (husband Michael) Ware of Baxter, Ia.; and Autumn (husband Bob) Waske of Creston; six grandchildren, Jaclyn Gordon, Heather Madison, Andrew (McKennah) Gordon, Lucas Waske, Kaitlyn Ware and Hollis Ware; three great-grandchildren, Maddox Gordon, Atlas and Kholsen Gordon; her brother Larry (Marlene) Weed of Wisc.; Kae Carlson of Omaha, Neb.; Cathie (husband Alan) Hudson of Creston, Tina (husband Tonie) Thaden of Liberty, Mo.; and her mother in-law, Golda (husband Ray) Hasenjaeger of Edina, Mo.

Debbie was preceded in death by her parents, Dale and Ruth Weed, her daughter Sheila Gordon in 2006, her sister, Janie Weed in 2021, brother in-law, Jim Carlson and three nephews.
