Services for Florence Carson was held June 19, 1998 at Wilson-Watson & Armstrong Funeral Home in Diagonal, Iowa with Rev. Pam Farren officiating. Casketbcarers were Jack Carson, Ed Johnston, Jim Routh, Frank Carson, Shawn Fenton, and Lee Davenport.
Florence Carson was born on June 19, 1919 northwest of Diagonal. She was the daughter of Nora Hersom. Florence passed away on June
16, 1998 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa at the age of 78 years, 11 months and 28 days.
Florence was united in marriage to Ray Carson on December 23, 1935 at St. Joseph, Missouri and to this union two children were born; Mary and Eldon.
Florence was a farm wife and enjoyed working on the farm. She lived her life in the area northwest of Diagonal.
Florence was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ray, her daughter, Mary Sebastian, and a half sister Clarabelle Calvin.
Left to mourn her passing is her son Eldon Carson of Diagonal, 7 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. A half brother Darrell Beaman of Des Moines; a step-brother Wayne Beaman of Des Moines and a half-brother-in-law LeRoy Calvin of Creston, Iowa; a half-sister Dorothy Ripplinger of Creston and a step-sister Valiere Blanchard of Lineville, Iowa.
Interment was in Graceland Cemetery in Creston, Iowa.
Arrangements were made by Wilson-Watson & Armstrong Funeral Home.
