Brown, Martha Jane Stonesifter -
Mrs Martha Brown, 74, died Friday evening after suffering a heart attack. She was dead on arrival at the Greater Community hospital at Creston, where she was being taken after suffering the attack.
The funeral services were Monday at the Bender Funeral Home with Rev David Shaeffer as minister. Burial was in the Morgan Cemetery.
Mrs. Brown is survived by a son, Harvey, of Freewater, Ore., three daughters, Mrs Carl Clinton, Mrs Robert Manroe and Mrs Max Badgett, all of Lenox; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Her husband and a daughter preceded her in death.

Brown, Martha Jane Stonesifter -
Martha Jane Brown, daughter of Michel and Rhoda Stonesifter, was born in Brentwood, Ark, Oct 25, 1888. She passed away at Creston hospital at the age of 74 years, 7 months, 27 days. She lived most of her early life in Arkansas and joined the Baptist Church at an early age. She was married Oct 2, 1907 to Martin Brown who preceded her in death, as did an infant daughter, Viola June.
They moved to Iowa in 1917 where they made their home.
She leaves to cherish her memory a son, Harvey Brown of Freewater, Ore, and 3 daughters, Mrs Ruby Badgett, Mrs Beulah Clinton and Mrs Bonnie Manroe, and 5 grandchildren, Mrs Shirley Rogers, Phyllis Badget, Linda Manroe, Raymond Brown and Eldon Brown, 5 great grandchildren, a daughter-in-law, Mable and 3 sons-in-law, 7 sisters and 2 brothers.
She was a wonderful mother and grandmother.
