PROMINENT LORIMOR FARMER SUCCUMES AT AGE OF 54 YEARS
LORIMOR- Donald Hammans, a prominent resident of the Lorimor community, died Friday, June 19, at his home west of town. His death occurred on the farm where he was born, 54 years ago.
Mr. Hammans spent his life in faming in this community. He was a member of the Baptist church, and the Lorimor Lions club.
He was married Feb. 19, 1920, at Afton to Frances Perry, who survives him. He also leaves a daughter, Mrs. Gretchen Goecke of Alaska; twin sons, Richard and Robert Hammans, both of Lorimor; three grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Florence Bacon of Lorimor and Mrs. Eva Brant of Truro; and three brothers, Roy and Ralph Hammans of Lorimor and Howard Hammans of Winterset.
Funeral services were held Tuesday from the Lorimor Methodist church, in charge of the Rev. Mr. Headrick. Burial was made in the Lorimor cemetery.
