Beatrice P Gegner, 83, of Creston died Ma,11,1997, at Creston Nursing and Rehab Center.
Services will be at 2:00 PM May 14th at the Coen-Beaty Funeral Home, 809 W. Montegomery Street, with Dr. Robert Pickerell officiating. burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. There is open visitation after 10 am Wednesday with the family receiving friends after 1 pm Wednesday until service time at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to the family. Mrs. Gegner was born August 11 1913 in Barnard, MO to Roy and Mellie(Stockton) Mulwee. She married William Gegner in Des Moines. She worked for F.W. Means Company in Des Moines for 25 years, retiring in 1978. She lived in Des Moines before moving to Creston 12 years ago. She was a member of the First Christian Church. Survivors include daughters, Shirley (husband George) Tindle and Janita Campbell of Creston; sons, Robert Rachuy of Martinez, Calif., and Boyd Bales of Quilcene, Wash.; brother, Francis Mulwee of St. Paul Minn., sister, Ester Marshall of Fort Wayne, Ind.; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Curtis Cooper; and four brothers.
