Earl Robertson, 94, 411 E. Lane Street, Winterset, formerly of Creston, died January 9, 1997, at the Winterset Care Center North.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. January 11 at the Powers Funeral Home, 601 New York Avenue, with the Rev. Merlin Wilkins officiating. Burial will be in the Greenlawn Cemetery, Afton. There is open visitation after 9 a.m. Friday with the family receiving friends 7 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Powers Funeral Home. Memorials may be directed to the Methodist Church in Arispe.

Mr. Robertson was born August 24, 1902, at Shannon City to Robert N. and Chloe D. (Pitkin) Robertson. He graduated from Arispe High School. On July 29, 1921, he married Louise Berry in Mount Ayr, and she preceded him in death October 8, 1984. On September 8, 1986, he married Wilda Denton in Tingley. He farmed all his life in the Arispe and Shannon City areas until retiring in 1969 and moving to Creston. He moved to the Winterset Care Center North in March 1996.

Survivors include his wife, Wilda Denton Robertson of Creston; a daughter, Doris (husband Billy) Nealis of North Edwards, California; two stepsons, Larry Denton of Creston and Bill Denton of Afton; and two grandchildren.

Besides his first wife, he was preceded in death by his parents.
