MARCH 27, 1902

MARY McMILLEN

On Tuesday, March 25, 1902 at the home of her daughter Mrs. George Frazier, in this city occurred the death of Mrs. H. McMillen, aged eighty-two years. After many years of life on earth the death angel claims his own and the soul that was only waiting for the summons to come home at last took its flight to the loving arms of her Savior, whom she trusted. Her earthly pilgrimage is over and the weary soul has passed into the beyond.

Mary Powers was born April 26, 1821, and was married to W. H. McMillen, of Columbus, Ohio, March 22, 1939. To them were born ten children, three daughters and seven sons, two of whom survive her. Those being Mrs. H. L. Shoemaker, of Elmwood, Illinois, and Mrs. George Frazier, of Afton. Two of her sons fell in the war of the rebellion.

The funeral services will be held at the home of Mr. & Mrs. George Frazier. Burial will be in the Greenlawn Cemetery at Afton.
