GEORGE CORNELISON, CRESTON

George Ivan Cornelison, 72, of 216 S. Elm, Creston, died Monday night at Greater Community Hospital here.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Keating-Lindsay Funeral Home here. The Rev. Robert Pickerell will officiate with burial in Graceland Cemetery here. Visitation will be after 9 a.m. today and until time of service.

Cornelison was born Sept. 27., 1913, in Union County, Iowa to Joseph Clyde and Cora (nee Benson) Cornelison. He married Grace Marian Keehn May 24, 1941, in Princeton, Mo. He grew up on a farm eight miles south of Creston on the "High and Dry." he moved to Creston in his early 20's and lived in Creston the rest of his life. He was a self-employed truck operator and driver, antique dealer and craftsman. He retired in the mid 1960's, and was a member of the First Christian Church.

Survivors include his wife, Grace; two sons, Nile D. (wife Jeanette) Cornelison of Des Moines and Lin L. Cornelison of Creston; a daughter, Cheryl R. (Mrs. Russ) Davidson of Murray; five grandchildren, and two sisters, Irene (Mrs. Max) Rice of Nevinville and Mrs. Helen Marie Shadoan of Summerset, Ky.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, John.

A memorial has been established to the heart fund.
