Little Rita Finds a Home
A Basket containing a baby girl wrapped in a shabby blanket was found on the doorstep of W. D. McDonald’s residence in Creston. A note in the basket stated the baby was of respectable parentage, but there were so many children in the family that the parents could not give it proper care. The McDonald's are very wealthy and gave the little stranger a hearty welcome. They have named it Rita.
