Aid Family

HITT, HIATT, AID, CRITTENDOM

I am looking for any information on my family lineage and the inception of my surname. I have traced my family name back to William Hitt and Elizabeth Hitt (Bailey). All of their children retained the surname HITT... except for my Great great great great grandpa John Aid who took my surname AID.
