looking for any information or document that proves surname of Prissila Baker as a Tipton. Iowa obits for Prissila, her Son Bryant Higgs Baker, or her Daughter Alatha Baker Moore. Prissila was born in Maryland circa 1785 or 1786 and thought to be the Daughter of Jonathan Tipton of Baltamore County Maryland. Some researchers have her surname as Price, others have her as born a Chessilar. I think the Tipton name to be correct as she incorporated her famly names of Bryant and Tipton as male first names for her children. So this seems most logical to me. We need to prove this though and any help appreciated. Elaine Baker Zandona Tracy Ca.
