This is what I found for you. You have some incorrect facts.

Ethel May Simons was born on May 23, 1880 in Fillmore County, Minnesota to Frank Simons and Ada (Boynton) Simons. Sources: Minnesota Birth/christening records, 1880 and 1900 census.

She was married on November 18, 1903 in Etna, Fillmore County, Minnesota to Ralph Lyman Smiley. Source: Minnesota Marriage Records;

They lived and raised a family in Wisconsin and in Mason City which is in Cerro Gordo County and not Taylor County, Iowa. Ralph Smiley died in December, 1955 in Mason City. Ethel (Simons) Smiley died on January 14, 1967 in Mason City. They are both buried in the Simons family plot in the Etna Cemetery in Fillmore County, Minnesota.
