Mrs. Fern Chinberg of Ft. Collins, Colo., notified the Times-Press of the death of her mother, Goldie S. Litchfield, 80, of Vancouver, Wash. Funeral services were held in the Vancouver Funeral Chapel with interment in Park Hill Cemetery.
Goldie S. McCoun was born in Hill City, Kansas, on June 29, 1889, to Maria Magdelena and John McCoun. They came back to Bedford and after the death of her father and mother when she was eight she lived in the home of her grandfather, L. T. McCoun. After attending the Bedford schools she taught in the rural schools of Taylor County.
She was married to Abe Kinnison and they made their home in the West. To them were born four daughters, Dawn, Fern, Hope, and Clarine, who, with their families are among the survivors.
Later she married Larry Litchfield, who also survives.
She was a long-time member of the Seventh Day Advent Church and she was a faithful and active member.
