Anyone with any information on a Mary Elizabeth Jordan Marriage to a G.W. Jordan (we think its George) around 1861 in Tama Co?. In Mary's Bible she writes this passage:

October the 26, the year of our lord 1885. Mary C. Godfrey (the word Tilda written here between the C. and Godfrey) was born in the year of 66 at the residence of her grandfather. In Tama County in Carlton Township, In September the year of 66. Daughter of Mary Godfrey and G. W. Godfrey.

They had 2 sons that we know of
James H. Godfrey B. 29 Apr 1875
Charles F Godfrey B. 11 Dec. 1876

We have no record of any daughters (until the bible was found recently in a trunk)

Mary Godfrey remarried to a James Madison Mitchell on 17 May 1878 in Toledo, Tama Co. From there we know what happened to everyone.

Does anyone know who G.W. Godfrey was? or who is parents/siblings were.
