My am searching for the parents of my great grandmother Wealtha (Wealthy) Amelia Bates born Feb. 1873 in Tama County, Iowa. By 1886 she was in Gunnison county, Colorado when she married Nathaniel Leroy Stewart. In the 1900 census she is widowed living in Colorado Springs, Colorado and states her father was born in Ohio and mother New York. Per Dna it appears that she is from a group of Bates that came from Mass. to New York to Lorain county, Ohio to Linn and Tama counties in Iowa. I have been unable to find her in the 1880 US censuses nor the 1885 Colorado state censuses. Any help with this would be appreciated.
