William Bale (b. 1820)

I am seeking informaiton concerning William Bale b.1820 in Butler Co.,Pennsylvania who moved to Tama, Iowa in 1861 with his wife Sarah and two daughters Amelia and Leotta. They are reflected in the 1856 Iowa Census and the 1860 US Census. Another daughter Cleora was apparently born there and appears with the rest of the family in the 1870 US census in Nebraska. William supposedly moved to Missouri to take contracts carrying the mail in 1861. I found the marriage of a Rosannah Bale to Hiram Hatfield, performed by William Bale on 22 April 1858 in the Tama Co. Gen Web listings. William was probably a farmer or laborer during his time in Tama Co. I would appreciate any additional information you may find concerning this individual who may or may not be a distant relative of mine.
