I would guess that George Edward Wirstlin was my grandfather. My ancestors also came from Baden Baden Germany. George Edward worked on the railroad per the memory I still have. His son Carl Edward is my father and thus I have Edward as a middle name.

I had an aunt who worked very hard to track the geneological trail and I believe her work is still housed in the Church of Latter Day Saints in Salt lake City Utah.
