Russell M. Brackett, 75, of Traer, died Wednesday, Aug. 10, 2005, at his home, from complications of leukemia. There will be no funeral service. Interment will be Saturday, Sept. 3, in Ozark Baptist Cemetery, in Houston, MO. Memorials may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice.
Born Nov. 16, 1929, in Raymondville, Mo., he was the son of Russell and Snoda Lea (McKinney) Brackett. He married Ann Lea Flowers on Jan 14, 1950, in Houston, MO. He was employed at Rath Packing until they closed, then he worked for Heetland Electric for 8 years, retiring in 1992. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife, Ann of Traer; three daughters, Ann Elizabeth Wilson of Fernandina Beach, FL., Barbara (Dennis) Dolash of Tama and Ruth (Scott Cripe) Brackett of Fairbank; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Overton Funeral Home, Traer handled the arrangements.
