Six Donaldson Children Lost to Diphteria-1876

A Mr. Donaldson in Carleton Township, Tama County, who two weeks ago had a family of seven children, all in good health, now has but one left. The six have all died in one week of diphtheria. At one time they had three corpses in the house, and at another time two. The only remaining child is just recovering from the disease. This is a sad bereavement.
