FLOWERS SERVICES TOMORROW

Funeral services for Orla O. Flowers, Sr., 78, who died at his home here Tuesday, following a long illness, are scheduled for 1 p.m. tomorrow at Burns Funeral Chapel. Pastor John Kraintz of the Elko Assembly of God Church will officiate. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Burns Funeral Home. Burial will be in Burns Memorial Gardens. Members of the Veterans of Foreign Wars will assist in the graveside services.

He was born Sept. 2, 1922, in Tama, Iowa, and had lived in Elko for the past 28 years. He had served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

He married Loretta Norris in October 1940.

Survivors include his wife, Loretta of Elko; sons, Jerry Flowers of Newbury Park, Calif., John Flowers of Fresno, Calif., Mike Flowers, Pat Flowers, Howard Flowers and Orla Flowers, Jr. all of Elko; daughters, Janet Schneider of Santa Rosa, Calif., Judy Bull of Boise and Ellen Bird of Elko; brothers, Harold Flowers of Sebastopol, Calif., and Gordon Flowers of Elko; 24 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
