Alfred H Witt was born February 16, 1903 at rural Gladbrook, Tama, Iowa to Frederick Louis Witt and Adelia Helen Arp Witt, the third of their six children. His siblings were: Georgiana Bertha, Lillian, Elsie Leota, Walter Herman and Frances Lenora.

Found in the 1905 census living on a farm at at Tama County, Iowa: Alfred Witt age 1.

At just 4 years old, Alfred was accidentally killed on April 23, 1907 in a farm accident when he was run over by a manure spreader.

He was buried at the Maple Hill Cemetery, Tama, Iowa.
