S.L. Mohler, Toledo, Dead - Was Pioneer Resident of Tama County

Samuel Lewis Mohler, 79, pioneer resident of Tama county, passed away Tuesday afternoon at his home in Toledo after an illness of a years duration. Samuel L. Mohler was born Oct. 30,1856, on a farm seven miles northwest of Toledo, and passed away Tuesday, Sept. 8,1936, at the age of 79 years, 10 months and 8 days. He lived at this farm until 1919 when he retired from active work and moved to his present home. He was one of 13 children, nine of whom preceded him in death. Surviving are his two sisters, Mrs. E.O. Harris of Toledo, and Mrs. H.F. Masten of Amo, Ind. Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2:30 at the Henderson Funeral home, Toledo. Dr. J.H. Yaggy, pastor of the United Bretheran church, will be in charge. Music will be furnished by a male quartette. Pallbearers will be W.J. Davison, C.A. Amidon, Fred Herman, H.L.M. Bruner, John Mathern and Ben Dean.
