MARY M. NEIDICK
July 20, 1914-July 18, 2009Mary Margaret Neidick was born July 20, 1914 at Traer, IA, the daughter of James and Mary Cappell Keith. She received her education in Traer where she graduated from Traer High School with the class of 1932. She then received her normal training and taught country school near Traer.
On August 27, 19326 she was united in marriage to William "Bud" Neidick at the Presbyterian Parsonage in Traer. Mary and Bud moved to Cedar Rapids and after he entered the military, Mary moved back to Traer to be closer to her family. While in Traer she was employed at the farmer's store, Traer Library and later Johnson Dry Goods. Mary was a member of the United Presbyterian Church where she was active in the choir, bell choir and Bon Volante's and Order of Eastern Star. In her free time she enjoyed routing on the Iowa Hawkeyes.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Bud on November 13, 2003, 7 brothers and 1 sister. She is survived by her son Tom (Sue) Neidick of Waterville, MN and Ellen (Roy) Kern of Traer, 6 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
Interment: Buckingham Cemetery, Traer, Iowa. Overton Funeral Home, Traer-Iowa is in charge of the arrangements.
