Funeral services for Jason Michael Hallett, 30, of Traer will be held on Friday, July 13, 2007 at the United Presbyterian Church in Traer at 10:30 a.m. Military rites will be conducted at the church with burial at a later date.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 12, 2007 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Overton Funeral Home in Traer.

Jason died on Monday, July 9, 2007 north of Marshalltown from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident near Marshalltown.

Memorials may be directed to the family.

Jason Michael Hallett was born April 11, 1977 in Iowa City, Iowa, the son of David Lawrence and Brenda (Anderson) Hallett. He attended school in South Tama, Waterloo and Arizona. Jason entered the United States Army and served his country for a tour in Iraq. On February 28, 2003 he married Angie Kriz and they made their home in Traer. Jason was employed with Construct in Marshalltown.

Jason is preceded in death by his father.

He is survived by his mother Brenda (Tim) Casillas of Tama; wife Angie; 3 sons; Calyb and Conner Kriz and Carter Hallett of Traer; a daughter Isabel Hallett of Traer; 2 sisters; Tina (Marcus) Perry of Waterloo and Jamie (Jesse) Hansen of Traer; paternal grandmother Sandra Hallett of Muscatine; maternal grandmother Carol Anderson of Tama; paternal great-grandmother Elfreida Eschweiler of Waterloo.

Overton Funeral Home, Traer, is in charge of the arrangements.
