OBITUARY
Virginia M. Thompson was bom April 30, 1922 at Archer, Iowa; the daughter of Clarence and Lillian (Schlefelbeine) Tanner. Virginia was raised in the Waterloo and Hudson areas where she received her education.
On January 18, 1941 she was united in marriage to Robert (Ted) Thompson at Waterloo, Iowa and they made their home In the Traer area all their married life.
Following Ted's death on June 20, 1977 Virginia moved to make her home in Traer.
In free moments she enjoyed her button accordion, dancing and on occasions going fishing. To Virginia her home and family was everything.
Due to failing health she became a resident of the Sunrise Hill Care Center In Traer where her death came on Friday, May 23, 1997 at the age of 75 Years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Ted, one grandson Jessen Wobeter, four brothers; Frankie, Sonny, Bud and Virgil, and two sisters; Fern and Mabel.
She is survived by two sons; Garry of Janesvllle, Iowa, Robert of Cedar Falls, Iowa, three daughters; Judy Peterson of Des Moines, Iowa, Janice Wobeter of Tama, Iowa, and Jolene Youngblut of Dysart, Iowa, three sisters; Marlys Fausch of Hudson, Iowa, Ruth Conner of Traer and Alice Murphy of Waterloo, Iowa, as well as 14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
