OBITUARY

ANN MUSFELT

Funeral services for Ann M. Musfelt, 93, of Traer, were held Saturday afternoon, Dec. 12, 1998, at Overton Funeral Home in Traer, officiated by the Rev, Rick Vesely. Burial followed at Buckingham Cemetery, rural Traer. She died Thursday, Dec. 10, 1998, at Sunrise Hill Care Center in Traer, after being in failing health for several months. Casket bearers were Brian Capouch, Neal Crieg, Emil Cufr, Eric Johnson, Rollie Raim and Jon Trousdale, Dorothy Stuart and Marjorie Cufr tended to floral tributes.

Ann Millie Musfelt was born June 30, 1905, at Clulier, one of nine children born to John and Anna (Splichal) Vesely. She attended school in Clutier and helped at home with their large family. On June 24, 1931, Ann married Vallie Musfelt at Little Bit of Heaven al Davenport. The couple made their home in Traer all their married life. In addition to caring for her family, Ann cooked in community restaurants including Amelia's Cafe and Lee's Cafe in Traer. In 1951 she became a cook for at the Traer Public School and served in that capacily for 24 years retiring in 1975. Ann enjoyed her gardening and did a lot of canning. Her children and grandchildren were an important part of her life. One of Ann's enjoyments was the time she made a trip to visit family in California.

Following Vallie's death Dec. 27, 1991, Ann continued to make her home on Woodlawn Street in Traer until becoming a resident of Sunrise Hill.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Vallie; three brothers, Ed, Leonard and Clarence; four sisters, Agnes Roby, Hilda Jansen, Sylvia Heckroth and Libby Raim.

She is survived by her daughler, LaVonn and husband, Roger Messerly of Marion; one brother, John Vesely of Traer; two granddaughters and five great-grandchildren.
