OBITUARY
Services for Henry Boldt, 96, of Traer were [conducted] Saturday, May 19, at the Overton Funeral Home in Traer with the Rev. Walden Paige of the Garwin United Methodist Church officiating. Burial was in the West Union Cemetery in Traer. He died at Sunrise Hill Care Center in Traer, Thursday, May 17.
Henry Boldt was born in Hancock County, Feb. 16, 1888, a son of William and Maggie (Lensch) Boldt. He received his education in country school.
Oct. 16, 1912, he married Lizzie Schuett at the home of her parents, south of Traer, and the couple farmed around Traer for many years until his health failed in 1941. In 1942, they left the farm and moved to Traer, where they cared for Taylor Park for a number of years.
She preceded him in death, May 2, 1957.
Surviving are three sons, Harold of Waterloo, Evan of Garwin and Delbert of Traer; a sister, Dorothy Jensen of Reinbeck; eight grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, an infant son and a son, Eldon, as well as three brothers and nine sisters.
Funeral organist was Mrs. Wesley Tomlinson. On the flower committee were Mr. and Mrs. Ross Hamilton and Mr. and Mrs. Loren Busch.
Casket bearers were Wayne Boldt, Donald Boldt, Terry...(clipping cut off here).
