CURRELL, Frances (1923 - 2000)

Obituary

Frances CURRELL was born on December 2, 1923 at Marshalltown, Iowa; the daughter of Edward L & Aliva Mae (Judy) VISHOOT. Frances was raised in the Marshalltown area and graduated from the Marshalltown High School. On June 12, 1953 in Gold Field, Iowa, Frances was united in marriage to David CURRELL and they made their home on a farm just east of Traer, Iowa. Frances was a very artistic person and loved to do crafts. She was very talented at all sorts of craft work, from needle work to sewing. She also loved flowers and in her younger years kept a flower garden. Frances was also active socially and was involved in many clubs and organizations; Legion Aux., OES, the Prairie Township Homemakers, the Garden Club and the Nature Study. Recently Frances has been battling health problems. She was a patient at the Covenant Medical Center in Waterloo when her death came on Thursday, March 2, 2000, at the age of 76 years. Frances was preceded in death by her parents, a son; James Gordon GRIGGS, and a brother; James Gordon VISHOOT. She is survived by her husband; David, a daughter and her husband; Judy & Allen HARMS of Readlyn, IA and a brother; Edward L. VISHOOT of Colorado.

Immediately following the services family and friends are invited to the church fellowship hall for a time of food and fellowship.
