Traer, June 27.-James Jeffries, a farmer of this vicinity until a few months ago, narrowly escaped death from blood poisoning recently. While tearing down an old building near Fairmont, Minn., he ran a rusty spike into one of his legs. It caused blood poisoning and he was taken to a hospital at Mankato.
