Son of James and Rosa Valenta.

Enlisted Aug 7, 1918, at Toledo, IA; first entered Army Training Detachment; transferred to Camp Jackson.

Mustered out Feb 4, 1919 from Battery A, 12th Reg. F.A.R.D.
