Enlisted Aug 27, 1917 at Ft. Snelling; entered Camp Lewis; transferred to Camp Jackson, Camp Funston; first entered Depot Brigade.

In France Nov 5; member of 10th Div., 29th F.A.

Second Lieutenant Nov 1917; First Lieutenant Nov 1918.
