Born Nov 8, 1892 at Elberon, Iowa.

Son of Martin and Katie Ulch.

Enlisted Nov 9, 1917 at Cedar Rapids; entered Jefferson Barracks; transferred to Camp Sevier and 3rd Co., I.C.

In France May 7, 1918.

Mustered out March 25, 1919 from 35th Aero Squadron.
