Son of John and Mary Strachota.

Enlisted July 24, 1918, at Toledo.

Entered Camp Dodge; first entered Co. C, 4th Repl.

Mustered out Jan 11, 1919. In France Sep 12, 1918; member Co. E, 316th Inf., 79th Div. In battle of Verdun. Wounded in right arm. Company mentioned for bravery.
