Born Jun 3, 1893 in Council Bluffs, IA.

Son of Herbert E. and Mary M. Rundlett.

Enlisted Oct 3, 1917 at Cedar Rapids, IA. Entered Jefferson Barracks; transferred to Camp Joseph E. Johnson, Camp Merritt; first entered Co. 27, 8th Unit, Q.M.C.

In France Apr 20, 1918; member of Provision Co. H. Took part in the battles of Chemin Des Dames, Montdidier, Argonne Forest, Olse, Aisne, and Somme River. The Company was cited three times.
