Born Dec 21, 1893 in Green Mountain, IA.

Son of Charles Eli and Ida May Richards.

Enlisted July 24, 1918 at Toledo.

Entered Camp Gordon; transferred to Camp Selby, Camp Dodge; first entered Co. C, 4th Regt.

Mustered out Dec 30, 1918 from Co. 10, 163rd D.B.

Recommended for non-commissioned officer.
