Son of Cory Lee and Dellie Florence Purk.

Enlisted July 1, 1917 at Grinnell, IA.

Entered Camp King Abbott; transferred to Camp Cody, Camp Dix and Camp Stuart; first entered Troop D, 1st Iowa Cav.

Mustered out Jan 18, 1919 from 109th Amm. Tr., Co. E.

In France in October.
