Son of Anson C. and Hermia E. Palmer.

Enlisted Apr 29, 1918 at Toledo, IA.

Entered Camp Dodge; transferred to Camp Travis and Camp Mills; first entered Co. E, 359th Inf.

Mustered out Jun 21, 1919 from 90th Military Police Co.

In France Jul 1, 1918; member of Co. E, 359th Inf., 90th Div. Took part in the battle of St. Mihiel and Meuse-Argonne. Division was decorated.
