Son of Thomas M. and Emma C. Munson.

Enlisted May 15, 1917 at Marengo; Camp Lyon; transferred to Camp King Abbott, Camp Cody; first entered Co. A, 1st Iowa Cav.

In France Sep 25, 1918; member of Co. A, 133rd Inf., 34th Div.

First Sergeant.
