Enlisted Sep 21, 1917 at Toledo, IA.

Entered Camp Dodge; transferred to Camp Doniphan, Camp Mills; first entered Co. B, 313th Amm. Tr., 88th Div.

Mustered out Aug 4, 1919, from Service Park Unit 395, 5th Div.

In France May 16, 1918; member of 129th M. G. Bn., Co. B, 35th Div.
In battles of St. Mihiel and Argonne offensive.
